Playing the Game

Everything you need to go from zero to placing your first on-chain BTC prediction — wallet setup, making bets, reading the chart, and claiming your winnings.

Getting Started

Boom Doom runs on Solana Mainnet. You'll need a compatible wallet with some SOL to cover your bets and transaction fees.

What you need

  • A Web3 wallet — Phantom, Solflare, or any Solana-compatible wallet
  • SOL on Solana Mainnet
  • At least 0.002 SOL per bet (0.001 bet + 0.0015 in fees) + small amount for transaction fees

Connecting your wallet

  1. Visit the Boom Doom app and click Connect Wallet in the top right.
  2. Select your wallet from the modal (Phantom, Solflare, and other Solana wallets are supported).
  3. Approve the connection in your wallet app.
  4. Your SOL balance will appear and you'll be able to set up your UserVault (if needed).
Boom Doom runs exclusively on Solana Mainnet. Make sure your wallet is set to Mainnet before connecting.

Placing a Bet

You can place a bet at any time. If a round is currently LIVE (open), your bet enters that round. If a round is already running or has closed, your bet applies to the next round — you're always betting on the next available round.

Step-by-step

  1. Watch the countdown. The timer shows when the next round opens or how long the current round is still open. Place your bet to enter the next round that will be settled.
  2. Enter your bet amount. Minimum is 0.001 SOL. The maximum bet depends on the current House Vault liquidity — the more SOL in the vault, the higher the max bet. Note: fees (0.0015 SOL) are added on top.
  3. Pick a direction. Press BOOM ↑ if you think BTC will be higher at the end of the round, or DOOM ↓ if you think it will be lower.
  4. Confirm the transaction. Your wallet will prompt you to sign the transaction. This will deduct your bet amount plus fees from your UserVault.
  5. Wait for the round to end. The live chart shows the current BTC/USD price. When the round closes (~30 seconds after lock), the result is displayed.

During an active bet

Once your bet is confirmed on-chain, the betting panel switches to show your Active Bet status — your direction, amount, and the lock price. The chart highlights the lock price level so you can track your position visually.

Worked example

-- Round #4821 opens -- Lock Price : $67,422.50 Your bet : 0.02 SOL on BOOM ↑ Fees : 0.0015 SOL (keeper + treasury) Total cost : 0.0215 SOL -- 30 seconds later -- Close Price : $67,498.10 (higher than lock) Result : BOOM wins ✓ Payout : 0.02 × 1.9 = 0.038 SOL Net profit : +0.0165 SOL

Claiming Rewards

Winnings are credited to your UserVault. After a round ends in your favor, a Claim button will appear in the UI. You can then withdraw from your UserVault to your wallet.

  1. After the round ends, your winnings appear in your UserVault balance (your stake × 1.9).
  2. Click Withdraw to move funds from your UserVault to your wallet.
  3. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  4. SOL is transferred from your UserVault to your wallet immediately on confirmation.
Your UserVault balance stays indefinitely. There is no expiry — you can withdraw at any time. The UserVault is your on-chain account that holds SOL for betting and stores winnings.

Refunds (Push rounds)

If the BTC price doesn't move between lock and close (extremely rare), the round is a push. All bets are refunded in full. No house profit, no player loss. The same claim flow applies.

Reading the Chart

The live chart shows real-time BTC/USD price data from the Pyth Network BTC/USD feed:

  • Green line / fill — price is above the round's lock price (BOOM territory)
  • Red line / fill — price is below the lock price (DOOM territory)
  • Lock price line — horizontal dashed line marking the round's starting price
  • Comet particle — a visual indicator showing the live price head
  • Scroll wheel — zoom the time axis to see more or less price history

The chart uses Catmull-Rom spline interpolation for smooth curves even at low update frequencies.
